Steve formed Doyle Trading Consultants in 2002 to provide coal and emissions consulting services to the energy and financial sectors. From 1983 - 1997, Steve was based in New York City and active in the global coal sector as Vice President/General Manager of Ruhrkohle Trading Corporation's export division and as the President of Integrity International. In 1997, Mr. Doyle left that sector to become one of the pioneers in the nascent OTC and futures market in coal and emissions, establishing trading desks for Peabody, Vitol/Avista, Sithe, and Allegheny Energy. In 1998, he traded the world's first domestic and global coal swaps. In subsequent years, he played an essential role in bringing coal and emissions trading to the mainstream energy players. He is currently President of the New York Coal Trade Association and holds memberships in the New York Coal Trade Association and the North Carolina Coal Institute.
Mr. Doyle is a highly effective communicator and regularly presents topics on the coal and emissions sectors at a wide array of energy conferences, training seminars and trading workshops around the globe. Mr. Doyle received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and his MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
